Greece's Team in World Robot Olympiad

The Cyclotron Intelligence team composed by Orestis Mersinias-Psimitis, Christos Yionas-Kontos and Nikolaos Maurokefalos and led by Professor of Information and Communication Technology, Andreas Karampelas, is representing Greece in World Robot Olympiad (W.R.O) 2012 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Nov. 9-11.
The group is competing in the High School Regular category after winning first place in the 4th National Educational Robotics Challenge W.R.O Hellas. The materials which are allowed to be used must be made of Lego Mindstorms RCX or Lego Mindstorms Education NXT as well as the 9648 resource set.
Each group must construct a robot which is moving in a special circuit. Four cubes in different colors, made of legos, as well as four cantilevers will be placed on the circuit. The participants aim at the construction of a robot which will be able to trace and collect the four cubes and pass from the inside of the cantilevers in less than two minutes. There will, also, be a final goal, but it is going to be announced at the last minute.
