Rare Greek Electronic Music LP Coming

Rare Greek electronic music tracks from 1978-91 will be out in music stores next month after the successful cooperation of Ilias Pitsios of Echovolt Records in Athens and Tako Reyenga from Red Light Records store in Amsterdam.
Into the Light Records will release Into the Light: A Journey into Greek Electronic Music, Classics & Rarities (1978-1991) bringing to the audiences’ attention a wide range of styles, from dance electro to synth pop, ambient and new age sounds.
The tracklist includes music pieces from artists that were rather more well-known to the underground music scene of Greece than to the wider public, so that some names may sound totally unfamiliar to the audience. The compilation is limited to only 600 vinyl copies, and the double LP release features extensive liner notes.
The tracklist includes art pieces from female electronic innovator Lena Platonos, multi-instrumentalist Akis Daoutis and (renowned composer Mikis Theodorakis’s son) George Theodorakis. Rarities include a Michalis Rakintzis’ track from his early composing era, Stavros Logaridis’ synth-prog instrumental ‘Snif Snif’, and Costas Charitodiplomenos’ dub version of  ‘What You Gonna Do’ as 141 G.
