An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale rocked the area of Evia (Eubea) early on Tuesday. According to the Geodynamic Institute at the Astronomic Observatory in Athens, the quake’s epicenter was detected 40 kilometers North of Chalcida and 94 kilometres North-East of Athens. No reports were made of injuries or structural damage.
Greece is Europe’s most seismic country due to its location along an important fault and about half of the earthquakes reported in the continent are in Greece.
