On July 1, renowned Canadian singer and jazz pianist, Diana Krall will make an appearance at Herodion Theatre. With the consent of the Central Archaeological Council, after the request of the Canadian Embassy in Greece, members of the CAC unanimously gave the green light for granting the monument’s use.
Krall, wife of the famous British musician Elvis Costello and mother of twin boys, was in Athens in 2006 when she also performed at Herodion during the Athens Festival and in 2010 appeared at the Terra Vibe in Malakasa.
Krall is known for her contralto voice, the lowest female voice category. She is considered to be one of the most successful singers worldwide, and has sold more than 15 million albums around the world, including six million in the U.S. She has won two Grammy Awards, nine gold, three platinum, and seven multi-platinum albums. In October 2012 she released an album, Glad Rag Doll.
