Landlord Evicts Tenant For Being Gay

tenantA homeowner in Ahaia has evicted his tenant for being gay, reports said. The owner of the house reportedly threw the tenant’s belongings on the road. It happened recently in the area nearby Tampachana.
Reports said that the landlord had rented the property to a young man and began to treat him poorly after he discovered he was gay. The tenant was said to object to the treatment and complain it as against the law, but the landlord then came into the house and started to toss the man’s possession out.
When the incident happened, neighbors gathered outside the house trying to sort things out and calm the angry owner. The conflict ended but the tenant reportedly said he would sue the landlord. Under Greek law, landlords don’t have the right to enter rented premises without permission.
