The Mayor of Pafos, Savvas Vergas announced that foodstuffs worth 25,000 euros, were collected on Aril 14 at the solidarity concert, Support Pafos and expressed his gratitude to the artists and the volunteers who worked for its success. Thirty local groups and artists from Cyprus and Greece participated in the concert, which was attended by more than 10,000 people.
“We have tried very much to achieve this concert of humanity and we feel great satisfaction, seeing the response of the world for the strengthening of the social grocery”, said Vergas. He also announced that the effort to collect basic commodities will continue with the organization of other solidarity events.
