Crete Μourns Two Suicides On Easter

PENTHOS_533_355Two families in Crete were left in mourning for their beloved who decided to put an end to their lives on Easter Sunday. A desperate 34-year-old mother-of-two hanged herself and a 26-year-old young man committed suicide by shooting himself, officials said.
The old woman was found hanged in Georgioupoli, a resort village and in the Chania regional unit, Crete. The unfortunate woman, according to prismanews.gr, was found dead early in the afternoon by her father who immediately called authorities.
Police and doctors from the National Centre for Emergency Care (EKAV) arrived soon after but it was too late to save the woman, who was separated from her husband.
Police are investigating and the news agency said that the woman left a suicide note at the scene of the tragedy explaining that bad relations with her husband drove her to commit suicide.
In Zaros, a town in the province of Kainourgio, Heraklion Prefecture, Crete the 26-year-old man, son of a retired policeman, was said to be anxious after breaking up with his girlfriend. While his family was having its Easter meal, he disappeared. Shortly after, gunshots coming from the home disrupted the party and he was found dead.
