The tragic story took place in a village near Thessaloniki where the family lives. The 36-year-old father confessed that he had been sexually abusing his 16-year-old daughter for many years. The man who is an Albanian immigrant, was arrested and prosecuted.
According to what is so far known, the 36-year-old is unemployed and was often drunk. He appears to have confessed to the prosecuting authorities that he was abusing his daughter since the age of 6. The girl’s mother said she had not noticed anything all these years and that the abuse would occur when she was not at home.
The tragedy was revealed when the girl who is today a third grade junior high school student tried to cut her wrists, not being able to endure any more the torture she was submitted to all these years.
The 36-year-old was arrested and led to the Misdemeanor Prosecutor’s Office in Thessaloniki. He is charged with statutory rape, seduction, incest and was sent to give testimony to the investigator.
