Panic prevailed at Athens International Airport, Eleftherios Venizelos, shortly before three in the afternoon of May 30 when the gun of Antonis Gregos, Golden Dawn deputy, went off while he boarding Aegean’s flight 510 to Thessaloniki.

According to the procedure, Gregos was about to leave his gun at a special place so that it would be sealed and given to the pilot. Gregos was to take it back after the airplane had reached its destination.
Golden Dawn’s deputy maintained that the accidental detonation occurred when the gun was in the hands of the company’s employer and she was trying to empty it. However, as police officers stressed, in these cases the owner of the gun is obliged to check whether his gun is empty or not and not the airport staff. Fortunately, no one was hurt and the bullet was clamped in the floor. He also supported that the gun was full when he took it from the Parliament, but he did not know anything about it.
Golden Dawn’s deputy embarked and flew to Thessaloniki without further problems or delay.
