Three Greek students from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) won the People Choice Award in the framework of the world competition L’Oréal Brandstorm 2013. The students are Marina Panagiotopoulou, Giannis Papanikolaou and Stefanos Sinis, who constitute the team A for Athens.
Brandstorm is a world competition in marketing and innovation, organized by L’Oréal since 1993. Through it, students from more than 45 countries have the opportunity to show their talent in marketing and impress with their ideas.
Brandstorm’s finals will take place on June 20 in Paris, France, where the Greek mission will be represented by the team A for Athens.
The competition of photography People Choice Awards was running during the previous days on Facebook. Every country’s winners created a photograph representing their team and the winner was the one that had more Likes by the public.
The three Greek students, after conducting a long and coordinated campaign chiefly via internet, gained more than 20,000 Likes.
Marina is 21 years old and believes that “goals and dreams come true when you try, when you give the best of yourself and when you believe that you can do it!”
Giannis is 22-year-old. “I think that all seniors at our age dream of a brilliant career in business,” he said and added that through this competition they have made a good start.
Stefanos, 22 years old mentioned that “if you manage to convince yourself that something is not impossible, you will be astonished by how much you can achieve. You just have to try.”
