Fewer University and Technical Institute Enrollments

panellexeThe great reduction in student enrollment in the Technical Educational Institutes (TEI), which was proposed by the team of the Minister of Education and Culture, Konstantinos Arvanitopoulos, caused the disagreement of Deputy Minister Theodoros Papatheodorou.
On June 11, Arvanitopoulos announced 69,288 enrollments for the academic year 2013-14. Even though University and TEI departments were reduced by 25% , student enrollment is reduced to  8,94% . In particular, for universities it has been increased by 4,76% compared to last year, but for TEI it is reduced by 28,1%.
The Ministry of Education is considering reducing the six subjects candidates have to sit at the Pan-Hellenic Exams to four.
