Matala Festival Opens Its Doors

They lived in ancient caves, next to the beach for weeks, for months and some of them even for years. They were involved in meditation, music, poetry, painting, fishing and enjoyed the natural lifestyle in the idyllic destination of Matala.
Visitors of the Matala Festival will enjoy four sunsets full of music and dancing. Old and new friends of Matala from everywhere set a date to experience the unique atmosphere from June 21 to 24 at the largest free festival in Greece.
The organizers have prepared many surprises for visitors who will flood Matala, while the goal of the municipal authorities is the general development and mainly for tourism promotion in the wider area of ​​the Municipality of Phaistos. For this reason, the city and the organizers invite everyone to participate in the biggest festival of Crete, which marks the beginning of the summer and has free admission to all concerts and other activities.
