World’s Longest Kontosoubli in Karditsa Again

imagesOn June 23, inhabitants from the region Kalivia Pezoulas in Lake Plastira, Karditsa,  broke their own record by making the biggest kontosoubli (pork or lamp meat on the spit) in the world, 186,30 meters in length! Their record last year was 176 meters.
Once the meat was cooked and removed from the spit, it was consumed in record time by the thousands of visitors.
The lunch was followed by a glenti with live music in the courtyard of the church.
