The unsuspecting mother trusted her daughter to her brother whenever she went on business trips and he allegedly abused her.
This is a new pedophilia case which was brought to light on July 1. A 44-year old gynecologist in a major private maternity hospital of Athens was arrested and is already taken into custody, as he is accused of repeatedly abusing his 15-year old niece.
According to available information – the police are handling the case with great subtlety, as there’s a relative relationship between the perpetrator and the victim- the nightmare for the girl allegedly lasted for about a year. At some time the girl couldn’t bear it anymore and talked to her mother.
The mother collapsed on hearing the news and went to the Department of Child Protection of Attica and denounced the obstetrician for the alleged rape of her daughter.
A file was brought against the 44-year old, with the charges of repeated sexual abuse of a minor, of repeated sexual abuse of a family member, of incest and seduction of a minor.
According to a publication of Espresso, the offender was brought before the Misdemeanors Prosecutor of Athens and claimed that he did everything with the consent of his 15-year old niece. The doctor was directly taken to the Trikala prison.
The police said they found incriminating genetic material in the girl’s house, on a bed sheet on which they said she was forced into sexual acts by her uncle, as she stated. They also said they found genetic material on the girl’s favorite teddy bear.
Police said they found DNA in both samples.
