Internet Fraudster in Rethymno

GOMENA_533_355A 23-year-old woman arrested in Rethymno had set up an incredible online fraud with dozens of victims across the country. The young woman made more than 4,180 euros by selling non-existent latest technology cell phones to unsuspecting citizens.
She was arrested on July 17 and 26 fraud victim cases were ascertained both in Crete and in different cities throughout Greece.
The fraudster had been selling non-existent cells since October 2012 by posting relevant ads on mobile selling websites,  (saying that they came from a stock cell phone store, which she owned in the past), deceiving prospective buyers and leading them to make transactions through their bank account.
After having been paid the specific amount of money, she interrupted any kind of communication. In her possession the amount of 1,100 euros that came from her illegal activity was found and seized.
