Fake Viagra Found In Chinese Store

fake_535_355A large quantity of pills and “oil” for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, which was illegally being sold in Greece as the brand name Viagra but with a slightly altered title was found and seized by the Economic Police in a Chinese wholesale trade shop.
The illegal medicinal products – preparations for the treatment of erectile dysfunction were carefully hidden and were ready to be put up for sale, police said. There were 32,871 pills and 18 small bottles of oil.
There was no accompanying tax information of value or of movement of goods issued for these products, while it is not yet known whether the products were distributed to stores, as there are no invoices.
The illegal medicinal products were seized and they will be sent to the National Organization of Medicines for the requisite laboratory – comparative tests.
The police arrested a 23-year old Chinese man and were seeking a 67-year woman, also a China national, who is the owner of the shop. The man will be charged with forgery, fraud, violation of the provisions relating to unfair competition, trademarks, agronomic and national customs code- of smuggling and in general of trafficking of pharmaceutical, dietary and cosmetic products.
