The Mayor of Zakynthos, Stelios Mpozikis had a meeting with the Chinese businessman David Zhong, during which they discussed about potential investments in Zakynthos concerning port facilities.
Mpozikis made specific proposals to the Chinese businessman who has shown interest in developing different areas of the popular island which would give a boost to the local economy.
Zhong said that he is captivated by the sandy beaches and the rich nature of Zakynthos and that he intends to visit Zakynthos within the next month to discuss the prospects.
Zhong invited Mpozikis to visit China and set up an exhibit about Zakynthos. It was accepted and representatives of Zakynthos are expected to visit China this winter in order to promote the island’s traditional products and as a destination for tourists and business.
