The Portuguese José Manuel Barroso, current President of the European Commission, will spend his holidays on the Greek island of Skiathos from August 21, according to the online version of the newspaper To Vima. During his short vacation, Barroso will stay on a friend’s yacht.
On the same day, August 21st, the German politician for the Social Democratic Party of Germany Martin Schulz is also expected to arrive on the island to attend the event dedicated to Professor Dimitris Tsatsos which will be opened by the President of PASOK, Evangelos Venizelos.
Skiathos is a small Greek island in the northwest Aegean Sea. Skiathos is the westernmost island in the Northern Sporades group, east of the Pelion peninsula in Magnesia on the mainland, and west of the island of Skopelos.
