Son's Car Rolls, Killing Father

8F134EA0E9A3C93C44018BE671698727A tragic accident took place the night of Aug. 25 in the village of Avgio, in the region of Amaliada, in northwestern Elis, West Greece where police said a car flipped over, killing a man whose son was driving.
Police said the two were in a field farming and that the son had parked their car but when they got out the vehicle moved and ran over the 75-year-old victim. There was no explanation how it happened.
The man was severely injured and an ambulance was called to take him to the Hospital of Amaliada. There, despite, the doctors’ efforts to keep him alive, he died shortly after midnight, leaving his 47-year-old son distraught. He was arrested and charged with negligent manslaughter.
