Pan-Hellenic Bike Parade for Charitable Cause

bikeThe offer of assistance and support to people who are in need in this adverse period for Greece and Cyprus, led five Cypriot cyclists to organize a Pan-Hellenic Bike Parade in order to collect food supplies for poor people, with the support of the Social Stores of the Municipalities of Greece and Cyprus.
The five cyclists supported by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiadis, started a great bike ride from Thrace. They have planned to cross Greece and reach Crete.
One of the five Cypriot cyclists, Andreas Onisiforou, said: “In our route, we will collect food supplies, a part of which will be given to the municipalities that host us for a while, and the other part will go to Cyprus.”
He did not hide his happiness for the fact that this initiative was embraced by the public and the Greek municipalities.
The bike parade began from Thrace last weekend and tonight they are going to reach Kavala, where the Municipality of Kavala will welcome them in the esplanade of the city. The event is going to be attended by many organizations and associations that helped in the food collection.
