700 Radio Employees to Be Dismissed

A4A8121A9BF389C1F4E6BCC81A5A7778According to Greek media reports, the Ministry of the Interior has been holding discussions on how to secure 2,000 Troika-mandated dismissals by the end of 2013.
According to the Greek government’s plan, about 700 municipal radio employees are to be dismissed in an effort to cope with the financial pressure on municipal budgets.
The dismissals are expected to take place by the end of this year in order for the 700 dismissals to be included in the bail-out goal of 2,000 dismissals for 2013.
The Greek MPs’ plan is to dismiss about 1,000 employees from the three defense industries, as well as about 250 to 300 civil servants who have been found guilty of misconduct by disciplinary committees.
