More Time for Michailides' Defense

michailidisOn September 13, former Cypriot Interior Minister Dinos Michailides, was granted an extension until Wednesday to prepare his defense before a Greek investigating magistrate in connection with a money-laundering racket, concerning the case of the former Greek defense Minister Akis Tsochatzopoulos.
Michailides, who was extradited to Greece today, is allegedly involved in the laundering of money from bribes that Tsochatzopoulos allegedly  received from the purchase of Russian missile systems.
According to Greek media reports, Michailides’ son Michalis, should be extradited for trial for the same case, according to a Cypriot Justice decision, which was taken last week. Michalis Michailides has appealed the ruling.
