Greek Price List For Unlawful Drugs

narkGreece’s Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has compiled a list of unlawful drugs in Greece and what’s being charged for them so that there will some standardized assessment of how much is being made by drug dealers and for the courts to know.
The list was made after the command of the Supreme Court Public Prosecutor along with DEA. The amount of €75.000 has been set as limit for the “expected benefit”, while the perpetrators that exceed it, will be sentenced to life imprisonment if convicted.
The Greek police said they aren’t as certain of the value of the list, claiming it is difficult to know how much is really being charged. The list:
•Unprocessed cannabis of European origin (hydroponic cultivation): €10-20 per gram
•Unprocessed cannabis of Albanian origin: €3-10 per gram
•Processed cannabis: €15-25 per gram
•Cocaine powder: €35-120 per gram
•Amphetamines powder: €5-15 per gram
•LSD: €5-15 per dosage
•Opium: €3-10 per gram
•Brown heroin: €8-45 per gram
•Ecstasy tablets: €5-25 per gram
•Ecstasy MDMA: €50-100 per gram
As pointed out in the same document of the Hellenic Police, it should be considered that it is normal that there will be big divergences, as the drugs’ prices are formed by several factors, such as:

  • The country of origin of the drug
  • The stage of the trafficking of the drug
  • The purity of the narcotic substance
  • The quantities sold (wholesale/retail sale)
  • Even the more specific conditions of sale differentiate the objectively expected benefit, i.e. imported and sold drugs in prison
