Roupakias Reveals Who Called him Before Killing P. Fyssas

roupakiasIn his testimony, Giorgos Roupakias revealed the names of the people he received calls from on Sept 17th-the day he killed Pavlos Fyssas. However, the things Roupakias said seem to contradict.
Prior to the murder of Pavlos Fyssas, Roupakias spoke on his mobile phone to Giorgos Patelis, general secretary of Golden Dawn’s offices in Nikaia, Piraeus. According to his testimony, Roupakias also spoke to Giorgos D., a retired officer from the Armed Forces who frequented the same offices and Antonis Ts., who appears to be a friend of Roupakias’ son and Theofanis Sv. The latter’s involvement in the case is still to be investigated.
At around 22:30, in the evening of Tuesday the 17th of September, Giorgos D. called Giorgos Roupakias to watch the second half of the Olympiacos FC – Paris SG football match together. When he was asked about what, he and Patelis spoke on the phone, he replied “various irrelevant matters”.
The 45-year-old Roupakias revealed that he called Patelis right after the murder to find him a lawyer, but Patelis ignored his calls. Police investigations revealed that Patelis contacted Golden Dawn MPs Ilias Kasidiaris, Ilias Panagiotaros and Yannis Lagos, but it is not clear when these calls took place.
Regarding the reason why he killed P. Fyssas, Roupakias testified that a group of people attacked him in his car and he responded by stabbing Fyssas, who was the first person he saw in front of him.
