A special event took place in the city of Patras where the Olympic flame was received of the 23rd Winter Olympic Games “Sochi 2014” which will be held in Russia.
The Mayor of Patras, Giannis Dimaras, in his address underlined that: “The Olympic flame will travel around the world to disseminate the message of peace, equality, justice and humanity, as well.”
Dimaras wished good luck to the Russians who will receive the Olympic flame and will make an organization worthy of their culture and their high athletic expectations.
The event ended with the dance department of the municipality of Patras and the children’s dance department of the Russian Union “Sagiouz.”
