The deadline for the administrations of universities to send their files to ASEP with the administrators’ names who are going to be suspended, expires on Oct. 9.
According to the current situation after the order of the Minister of Education, Constantine Arvanitopoulos to the Prosecutor General, the directors of the administrative services will be in custody for 24 hours unless they send the names of people who are going to be transferred, suspended or fired..
The order of the Minister has been sent to the universities and the competent Prosecutor of Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Heraklion, Ioannina and Thessaly.
At the same time, the universities called students to participate in several events instead of registering.
While the events will take place at the National Technical University of Athens and University of Athens, the first-year students attending the universities won’t submit entrance papers but instead hear speeches about the importance of the universities during the country’s financial crisis.
