Τhe former member of Greece’s privatization fund has launched legal action against Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras, causing prosecutors to ask Parliament whether the economist’s ministerial immunity should be lifted.
The case file, put together after ex-Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund employee Anna Zoirou sued Stournaras. The case was sent to Parliament by the Supreme Court.
Zoirou alleged that she was forced to leave her job after opposing the privatization of the Thessaloniki Water Company (EYATH).
Moreover, on Friday, a case file was written and sent after a member of the public took legal action against Greek ex-Prime Minister George Papandreou for lying with aims to win the 2009 national elections when he said the famous phrase “There is money!” [for Greece].
