Samaras: No Tolerance of Illegal Activity

antonis-samaras“No tolerance of illegal activity and acts of violence that undermine Democracy, we should break the vicious circle of tension which leads to violence and the vicious circle of violence that leads to tension,” stated the prime minister, while speaking to the New Democracy Political Committee, yesterday at noon.
“The neo-nazi phenomenon is a paradox and a deadly risk for the country,” Mr. Samaras mentioned.
The prime minister spoke generally about the violence phenomena, noting that the “legality wasn’t violated only by Golden Dawn, but also by others.”
“Criminal violence wasn’t only committed in Perama, it was also committed in the Marfin Bank arson. It is everyone’s responsibility to condemn every form of violence and to disapprove the expressions of violence and not to go on trials of murders as defense witnesses. Once the operation bases of hooded people are uncovered and eliminated, some may be bothered,  but let them be bothered, as soon as the sense of security is restored, neo-nazis will be isolated.” He also said that “there is no good and bad violence”.
In the remainder of his speech he said that unemployment is being declining, while the GDP shows even a slight tendency to increase and he added that “we make primary surplus”.
SYRIZA replied in high tones to the prime minister’s speech, especially concerning his indirect, “photographic” reference to the opposition party regarding the violence in the cases of Marfin and Skouries.
“In a rare moment of self-criticism, in today’s speech, the prime minister confessed his lack of political will over the previous period, concerning the crackdown of the nazi violence”.
