As of Monday, the EOPPY doctor’s are on a 24-hour recurrent strike. They will protest against the possible dismissals and suspensions.
The consultation rooms of EOPYY will operate with security guards. The Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, said that the doctors, whose specialties will be removed from the primary healthcare, will have a mobility–availability status and will then be evaluated.
In regards to the hospitals, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis–via his Twitter account–said on Monday morning, that 400 secondary registrars will be hired by the end of the year and the rest will be hired in 2014.
