Financial Times: Samaras is Unwilling to Obey Troika

F-_Financial_times_ellada_ptwxefsi_552929601An article in the “Financial Times,” published today, referring to the Greek Prime Minister and his negotiations with Troika, reported that Samaras is no longer willing to succumb to the demands of the creditors.
According to the article, the Greek government might adopt a more assertive attitude towards Troika due to the achievement of a primary surplus and the admiration of the European leaders for the efforts and sacrifices of the Greek people.
As reported, Greece is expected to surpass the original budget target and to record a primary surplus of over 800 million euros. This enables the government to ask for further debt relief after the partial default of 2012.
Finally the newspaper reported that the Greek Parliament ratified the 2014 budget, on Sunday, overriding the EU legislation that requires the prior approval by the European Commission and in the case of Greece, by the International Monetary Fund.
