Students Sing Rap Christmas Carols for Greek Archbishop (video)

Rap Christmas Carols for Greek ArchbishopThe students of the first high school of Aghioi Anargyroi, Athens, gave an unusual but pleasant surprise to Archbishop Ieronymos. They visited the archbishop, but instead of singing traditional Christmas carols, they choose a completely different way.
Ieronymos was waiting to hear the traditional carols until four of the students, Orestes, Kelly, Rati and Christos, began to sing in hip-hop style. When journalists asked Rati about the kind of song they sang, he answered that it was “a delightful song for our Lord.” Kelly said that the hip-hop version of the carols was a special cover for the archbishop.
The song by the students was referring to the power of God and the church. The archbishop thanked the children for their surprise and wished them happy holidays, offering to each one a cross as a blessing.
The throne room of the Archdiocese filled with students of the 74th primary school of Aghioi Anargyroi, Lampiri Schools, members of the Panhellenic Association of the Blind, the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Greece and the choir of the Family Support Center of the Archdiocese. Ieronymos met and wished a Merry Christmas to the volunteers and the employees of the Athens Archdiocese.
