Greek Nikos Manafis Designs Car of the Future

oxima-polis

Nikos Manafis is a graduate of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) school of architecture. Within the frame of his dissertation project, he presented a small city vehicle.
In particular, Nikos Manafis’ creation is more like a hydrogen vehicle with huge wheels from the left and right side of the driver’s seat.
The driver of this vehicle has the ability to change the form of the car or its dimensions, depending on the speed in which the vehicle moves.
When it is driven in the city, where cars move slowly and space is really valuable, it takes a vertical form. On the other hand, when the vehicle is driven on big national roads, it takes almost a horizontal form so that it can move faster.
The title of Nikos Manafis’ dissertation project is “United Individuality.” He made this project in cooperation with the Italian Company Piaggio, which has a great tradition in manufacturing two-wheeled motor vehicles and compact commercial vehicles.
Nikos Manafis stated that “by the end of 2050 we will be able to see such a car in the streets.” He continued along with his partner Luana Balominou “it is time for the Greeks to export vehicle designs to the International Market.”
