A new free professional social network called BsMark (Business Social Marketing) has been created in Greece. People from all over the world, professionals, unemployed, students and business owners among others can share online everything concerning their profession, entrepreneurship and leisure time.
But BsMark (www.bsmark.com) is not a normal social networking site. Its creators aim to enable users to upload their CV to a professionally oriented online community. The network follows specific protocols to control the uploads, in order to maintain the level and quality of communication between users.
Among other things, BsMark offers to its members the following key features:
a) A personal business profile
b) An online CV and its promotion to the network community
c) Interaction with other members at every level
d) Tools for the promotion of photographs, videos and other member activities
e) Group creation with personal blogs and participation in events
f) Creation of a corporate website
g) Free advertisements for both employment and services offered and requested
h) Sophisticated encryption protocols to protect uploaded data.
BsMark is an initiative by the Greek company Webimage, which has specialized in website design and creation since 2008. The new network was created by professional developers, with private equity funding by Dimitrius and Dionysios Adam, sons of the owner. BsMark was officially launched in December 2013, and already lists hundreds of users from Greece and abroad. “Several investors have shown interest in funding the project, which has passed the start-up stage and is now developing,” added Dimitrius.
