Greek Council on Foreign Policy to Meet


The Greek National Council on Foreign Policy, chaired by Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs Evangelos Venizelos, will be meeting today to discuss foreign policy issues that will be introduced at the Council of the European Union.

The National Council advises the Greek government on strategic matters and briefs the Greek Parliament on the latest foreign policy developments. Today’s meeting will center around Greek defense issues, Greek-Turkish relations, and the latest developments in Cyprus and the middle-east with an emphasis on Syria and Iran. Also on the agenda will be the EU outlook for countries of the Western Balkans
