Greek doctors, nurses and dentists have decided to strike on February 6, in order to express their opposition to the upcoming reforms in primary healthcare.
The strike is being organized to coincide with the vote in parliament on the government’s draft law concerning reforms to the healthcare sector.
State and EOPYY hospital doctors will also participate in the strike.
At their joint statement, the unions representing the workers stated that the bill will destroy healthcare and create major difficulties for patients.
Protesters will gather outside of the Ministry of Health in Athens at 11 a.m. and then march to parliament.
