An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale shook central Greece on Saturday morning, with its epicenter some 23 kilometers to the west of Atalanti, near Lamia.
The Athens Geodynamic Institute said the quake took place at 10.14 a.m. and struck eight kilometers north of of the village of Elatia. It was also felt in the capital.
