The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported that a 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred at about 1:08am on Thursday at a depth of 2 kilometers and about 18 kilometers northwest of Argostoli, on the Greek island of Cephalonia.
The Geodynamic Institute of Athens, Greece, on the other hand reported that a 3.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in the maritime area northwest of Lixouri, at a depth of about 5 kilometers.
