Four Young Greeks Aim to Make the Round of Greece in 13 Days

road-tripFour young Greek men from Katerini, northern Greece will be making the round of the country in 13 days with the main goal of showing off the beauty of Greece on the Internet. They are to cover a total of 4,200 km and visit 62 cities. In order to accomplish this goal, they will use every means of transportation available such as car, airplane, motorbike, even travel on foot if necessary.
The journey will start from the city of Katerini, in northern Greece and will continue to the western part of the country. The four men will then visit Peloponnese, northern Greece and Athens. They will continue to the island of Crete and then head to the island of Santorini, in the Aegean Sea. Their final destination will be Mount Olympus, northern Greece.
They intend to visit five cities a day. After the end of the journey they will share the country’s natural beauty with the rest of the world, through videos and photos posted on the Internet.
The four friends have stated that so far people’s response is positive. “Some have offered us hotel accommodation, free of charge. Others offered to pay our tickets, while someone else has asked to participate in the journey. Unfortunately, this is not possible as in that case we would need a bus,” they say.
The journey will begin on May 1, from the city of Katerini.
