There is no shortage of evidence showing Golden Dawn members engaged in paramilitary training and using firearms, but now Greece’s justice department has managed to procure a large amount of photographs and videos from the personal files of Golden Dawn’s MPs which show how the members of the organization are habitually using weapons in their everyday lives.
Both videos [below] show members of Golden Dawn discharging their weapons in populated areas. The first features three members, including Golden Dawn henchman Giorgos Patelis, shouting insults and shooting their guns for fun with blatant disregard for firearms regulations, despite there being children audibly in the vicinity.
The second video captures two Golden Dawn members on a balcony, one of whom is using empty bottles as target practice. When he is told to be careful not to kill anyone, he says he doesn’t care and continues to shoot. Furthermore, when a neighbor shouts for them to stop, both members continue as if nothing happened. A child is involved in this video as well, shouting “my magazine” in reference to the gun’s ammunition cartridge, showing that not only are members of Golden Dawn very familiar with guns, but their children are too, even they are just replicas as the fascist group claims.
A large variety of photographic material was also found, some of which shows Golden Dawn MP Ilias Kasidiaris inspecting a Golden Dawn attack unit. The paraded members wear helmets and hoods and bear shields and truncheons.
