The Greek coast guard officers tracked down 45 out of 50 undocumented migrants of whom the Greek authorities were in search for on Saturday morning on the Greek island Lesvos. The investigation however is still underway in order to find the 5 that are missing. The Greek coast guard is also in search of the boat that carried the 50 illegal immigrants.
The 45 undocumented migrants were located in the Papados area on Lesvos and are all safe and sound. The special department of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine and Aegean sea received a call in the early morning hours from a foreign national, who reported being on board of an adrift boat along with approximately 50 other persons and that their lives are at risk.
In addition, the coast guard officers stopped their investigation in the marine region of the island and continued their search on land in order to find whether there are more migrants who may be scattered throughout.
