Parents in the northern Greek community of Ioannina who entrusted their children to the town’s seemingly earnest pediatrician are shocked at the doctor’s arrest on charges of owning child pornography. The doctor work out of a private practice in the city center.
According to Greek media, the police’s Cyber Crime Unit had the doctor under surveillance for some time, and arrested him when they had enough evidence.
He will go before prosecutors Tuesday on the charges of possession and trafficking of child pornography. The Cyber Crime Unit have submitted as evidence only a limited part of the material that was found in his possession. Police officers were able to catch the pedophile after complaints relating to his criminal activity.
