Free Greek and Turkish Lessons in Cyprus Language Transfer

cyprus projectNGO ‘Language Transfer’ will offer free workshops and downloadable audio courses in Greek, Turkish and the Cypriot dialects in the ‘Cyprus Project’, which starts at the Cyprus Community Media Centre in the Nicosia buffer zone on Saturday, May 10.
Language Transfer, which is completely independent and unfunded, started in Cyprus in 2011, expounds ‘The Thinking Method’, which it says enables a new language to be learned in just 15-20 hours. “The Thinking Method completely challenges our relationship with learning and information, and needs to be experienced to be believed,”  stated Katherine Kotsireas, a volunteer with Language Transfer.
“Language Transfer gives results you can enjoy right from the beginning of the workshops as you begin to construct sentences out-loud and in real-time right from the get go,” she added.
The Cyprus Project seeks volunteers to be trained, to give free Greek and Turkish workshops and to participate in language exchange. Language Transfer also needs volunteers for creative dissemination to help the project spread across Cyprus.
Language Transfer is offering free language courses with this methodology, which it claims provides conversational skills but also helps learners to discover the language, exploring areas that don’t usually make their way into language courses.
