Almost 2,000 employees that are working at offices of Greek MPs, Greek political parties offices, Public Sector, ADEDY labor union, the Social Multicenter of ADEDY and the Greek representatives’ offices of the European Commission, will be evaluated by different criteria that the remaining public sector servants.
Although a list of 16 specific criteria is used to evaluate public servants, the above mentioned employees’ evaluation will be based on only half of them.  The eight remaining criteria will form a specific grading scale.
More specifically:
Employees who deal with any issue related to their job with precision and speed and without receiving help from their superiors, will be graded with 9 or even 10 points.
Very competent employees who can fully meet the demands of their job but occasionally need some assistance, will be graded with 7 or 8 points.
A grade of 5 or 6 will be given to those who are good employees and constantly try to comply with their job requirements, but most of the time require assistance.
All employees whose performance is below the targeted level, will be graded with 3 or 4 points.
And finally, employees who are completely inadequate for the specific position, will be graded with 1 or 2 points.
The relevant ministerial decision signed by Administrative Reform Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis on June 6, makes no reference to the issue of quota, which applies for the rest of the public sector, but specifies that “the working conditions of the specified employees are distinctive” compared to other civil servants. The decision was issued to fill the legal gap which allowed these employees to avoid evaluation until today.
