7 Greek Universities Among World's Best

universitiesDespite the problems of higher education in Greece, seven Greek Universities ranked among world’s best.
According to the Center for World University Rankings, 7 Greek universities have been included in the 1,000 world’s best for 2014.
Of the 7 Greek universities, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens has gathered the highest score with 46.06 points and is ranked 331st.
The Greek universities included in the list of the top 1,000 world are the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (478th place, 45.2 points), the University of Crete (551st place, 44.96 points), the University of Ioannina (582nd place, 44.85 points), the University of Patras (631st place, 44.74 points), the National Technical University of Athens (648th place, 44.72 points) and the University of Thessaly (926th place, 44.36 points).
The Center for World University Rankings measures the quality of education, the alumni employment and professor skills. Among Balkan countries, Greece has the second largest representation in the list. Turkey is first as it is represented by 10 universities.
he world’s top university is Harvard with 100 points, followed by Stanford University with 99.09 points, Massachusetts Institute of Technology with 98.69 points, Cambridge University with 97.64 points and Oxford University with 97.51 points.
