Free Internet Access for 150,000 Families

free internet accessThe Greek government has decided to put a pilot program in motion which is estimated to cost 80 million euros. The aim is to provide free Internet access to more than 150,000 families.
The people who will participate in this program are the social dividend recipients and they will be able to acquire or maintain their Internet connection until October 2015. Also, they will receive the basic equipment for computer use and Internet access.
Part of the program is to provide lessons and demonstrations on how to use a computer and the Internet and access to distance learning courses regarding the basic use of a computer and key points on how to surf the web.
The families who are entitled to participate in the program will receive a voucher in order to acquire all the aforementioned benefits.
