Greece Wins 14 Medals at IPC Swimming European Championships

Greek team swimmingThe Greek team competing in the 2014 IPC Swimming European Championships in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, managed to win three silver and eleven bronze medals.

The top athletes for Greece were Ioannis Kostakis and Aristides Makrodimitris, winning four medals each, while Antonis Tsapatakis won two silver medals.

Giorgos Sfaltos, Christos Tabaxis, Vasilis Tsangaris and Panagiotis Christakis won a bronze medal each in the International Paraolympic Committee’s swimming competition for athletes with disabilities.

The 2014 IPC Swimming European Championships was held August 4-10 in Eindhoven.

Approximately 400 athletes from nearly 40 countries participated in the competition in order to qualify for the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships in Glasgow, Great Britain.
