German director Matthias Langhoff was arrested for shooting scenes with a naked actress in the ancient theatre of Epidaurus, Peloponnese, southern Greece.
According to Greek newspaper “Efimerida ton Syntakton,” the German director and his crew have been in the area since Thursday in order to film a documentary on his life and career.
They had requested permission in order to proceed with the filming in the ancient theater until 2 after midnight, mentioning that no visitors are allowed.
At some point, the guard saw a French actress naked in the theater and called the police, accusing the director and the crew of insulting the monument.
The French and Swiss embassies have been informed on the case, as the German director has reportedly filed a lawsuit against the Greek archaeological service.
