xardoubelisIn a meeting with Greece ‘s international creditors on Saturday, the Greek government finalized the 2015 budget. According to Finance Ministry officials, the primary surplus target was set “very close to 3% of GDP” with no new austerity measures needed.
The draft budget, apart from the measures announced by Prime Minister Antonis Samaras at the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), will also include an amount for uniformed employees.
The Finance Ministry stated that the Troika “didn’t agree or disagree” with the budget numbers but will “monitor everything” until the final draft is prepared.

The Ministry appeared optimistic regarding the execution of this year’s budget, noting that the revenues in September slightly exceeded targets and are 16% higher compared to the same period last year. Although there no official figures concerning the proceedings from the ENFIA tax yet, it is estimated that the Greek state will collect a satisfactory amount of money.
