Three games took place today Saturday, October 18, for the Greek Super League with Niki Volou – Panthrakikos and Asteras Tripolis – Panetolikos opening the fun and Ergotelis – Olympiacos closing it.
Niki Volou – Panthrakikos 1-0
Niki Volou’s last win in the 1st division was in 1966 and after five consecutive losses this season they finally managed to grab their first three points with an excellent outside-the-box cracker from Rogerio Martins.

Ergotelis – Olympiacos 2-3
In today’s most exciting game and probably the fans’ favorite so far this season, Ergotelis of Crete lead the scoreline twice with a brilliant left side finish (1-0) from Mohammed Youssouf – who interestingly enough plays for the national team of Comoros islands – and Angelos Chanti with a stunner (2-1) from 30 yards out. Olympiacos, though, came back twice with a back-heel goal from Konstantinos Mitroglou (1-1) and a penalty kick from Alejandro Dominguez (2-2) before Mitroglou spoke again in the 90th minute and with a slight touch on the ball after Luka Milivojevic’s strike, helped his team pick up the three victory points.
