Piraeus Bank and Alpha Bank Pass ECB Stress Tests

ECBAccording to market estimates, Alpha Bank and Piraeus Bank passed their stress tests with ease. These estimates remain to be confirmed by an official statement, to be released on Sunday.
Earlier today, Reuters reported that Alpha Bank has passed the stress tests without showing any additional capital needs. In any case, according to the same estimates, stress tests were also positive for the National Bank of Greece, as well as Eurobank. The former is in significantly better financial standing than it was earlier in the year.
Bankers appear optimistic about the stress tests results. Given that they have finalized all the parameters (coefficients, etc.) of the test, their optimism for good results is based on objective evidence.
The ECB stress test results were confidentially dispatched to each individual bank today. Now, each bank will have to send a response to ECB stating their future actions and goals, as well as comments regarding the stress tests results.
